My name is Marisa Krol, and I am a self-taught painter originally from Rochester, NY. I moved to the Atlanta area less than a year ago with the hopes of becoming more involved with the world of visual arts.

My most important influence is undoubtedly "God", the greatest artist of all, who has blessed me with a gift I aim to use with respect to him. Stylistically, I've found myself inspired by the impressionistic era, specifically the well-known masters Monet and Degas.

I really appreciate their understanding of natural light and desire to capture it on scene. This area of painting exercises the creative part of my being and in many ways contradicts the process of portrait painting, keeping me balanced as an artistic minded soul.

The pieces I've chosen to display here are apart of an experimental nature series I have only recently embarked on. I hope to contribute more of their kind in the upcoming months as the spirit moves me. I hope you take the same pleasure viewing them as I have creating them.
